Sir John Deane (1583 – 17 February 1626) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1621 to 1622.

Deane was the only son of William Deane of Great Maplestead, Essex. He matriculated at Brasenose College, Oxford on 24 October 1595, aged 12 and was awarded BA on 8 November 1600. In 1600, he became a student of law at Lincoln's Inn. He was knighted on 11 May 1603.

He was a Justice of the Peace for Essex from 1607 until his death and was appointed High Sheriff of Essex for 1610–11. In 1621, he was elected Member of Parliament for Essex.[1]

Deane died at the age of about 42 and was interred in Great Maplestead church.[1] He had married Anne, the daughter of Sir Dru Drury of Riddlesworth, Norfolk, and had 2 sons and 6 daughters.
