It is a stone house with a shallow pyramid roof. Its front wall is built of dressed stone and a light plastering does not conceal the stonework.[2] It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.[1] It was home of a Basque family, Jose and Gertrude Anasola, who operated a Basque boardinghouse nearby. It is a {{convert|26|ft|m}} by {{convert|30|ft|m}} lava rock structure that is "boxy" in appearance, which is speculated to perhaps be in imitation of the boxy Colonial Revival style frame houses being built in the area by non-Basque wealthy sheepmen.[2] References1. ^1 {{NRISref|version=2010a}} {{National Register of Historic Places}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Anasola, Jose And Gertrude, House}}{{Idaho-NRHP-stub}}2. ^1 {{cite web|url={{NRHP url|id=83002356}}|title=Idaho Historical Society Group Nomination Inventory, Lava Rock Structures in South Central Idaho: Jose and Gertrud Anasola House |publisher=National Park Service |author= |date= |accessdate=February 7, 2017 }} with {{NRHP url|id=83002356|photos=y|title=two photos, from 1983 and 1985}} 6 : Houses in Lincoln County, Idaho|Houses completed in 1913|Houses on the National Register of Historic Places in Idaho|1913 establishments in Idaho|National Register of Historic Places in Lincoln County, Idaho|Lava rock buildings and structures |
