It has one runway designated 5/23 with an asphalt surface measuring 3,070 by 46 feet (936 x 14 m).[1] For the 12-month period ending June 9, 2015, the airport had 1,405 aircraft operations, an average of 117 per month: roughly 99% general aviation and >1% military. In September 2016, there were 7 aircraft based at this airport: all 7 single-engine.[1] Closing of the airportThe airport was closed because of the expansion of the Land O'Lakes butter plant, which is next to the airport.[2][6] There were talks about transforming it into private members only airport. The airport would then shorten the runway to accommodate for the nearby obstacles. This plan failed when the FAA refused to allow the runway to be shortened.[7] References1. ^1 2 3 {{FAA-airport|ID=HBW|use=PU|own=PU|site=27257.7*A}} Archived link: [https://web.archive.org/web/20160304003527/http://www.gcr1.com/5010web/airport.cfm?Site=HBW https://web.archive.org/web/20160304003527].
