The House Judiciary Committee is a 20 member legislative body consisting of a chairman, a vice-chairman, a secretary, two ex officio, and 15 members. The Committee operates under a House mandate to evaluate legislation and any other measures relating to law, courts, judges, and constitutional amendments.[1] Scope and jurisdictionThe House Judiciary Committee is responsible for all legislative measures relating to state law, courts, and judges and for evaluating the constitutionality of House sponsored amendments.
