The Junkers Profly Ultima is a German aerobatic homebuilt aircraft that was designed by Andre Konig and produced by Junkers Profly of Kodnitz, introduced in 1993. When it was available the aircraft was supplied as a kit for amateur construction.[1]

By January 2014 the aircraft was no longer offered by the company.[2]

Design and development

The Ultima features a cantilever low-wing, a two-seats-in-side-by-side configuration enclosed cockpit under a bubble canopy, fixed tricycle landing gear with wheel pants and a single engine in tractor configuration.[1]

The aircraft's {{convert|8.2|m|ft|1|abbr=on}} span wing mounts flaps and has a wing area of {{convert|10.5|m2|sqft|abbr=on}}. The cabin width is {{convert|101|cm|in|abbr=on}}. The acceptable power range is {{convert|50|to|80|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}} and the standard engine used is the {{convert|80|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}} Rotax 912UL four stroke powerplant. For its aerobatic role the Ultima is stressed to +6 and -4 g.[1]

The Ultima has a typical empty weight of {{convert|260|kg|lb|abbr=on}} and a gross weight of {{convert|450|kg|lb|abbr=on}}, giving a useful load of {{convert|190|lb|kg|abbr=on}}. With full fuel of {{convert|120|l}} the payload for pilot, passenger and baggage is just {{convert|103|kg|lb|abbr=on}}.[1]

The manufacturer estimated the construction time from the supplied kit as 400 hours.[1]
