Jury Box is a parlor game that was popular in the United States in the 1930s.[1][2] It is considered a predecessor to modern murder mystery games and role-playing games. Manufactured byThe game was manufactured in Canada by The Copp Clark CO., Limited, Toronto but its under licence by Parker Brothers Inc., Salem, Mass. ObjectiveThe objective of this game is that each player plays as members of a jury trying to prove if the defendant is either guilty or innocent using the evidence provided to them. Before the game starts someone is selected as District Attorney which is a person who isn't playing the game. The District Attorney is given the printed story, photograph and a solution sealed in a envelope. The story is then read out loud for all the players to hear and each player can ask for any part of the story to be re-read. Also when the story is being read, no one is allowed to make any noise or interrupt during the process. After that the photographs connected to the story is handed around to each player so they all get a good look at it. After the story has been read and the evidence have been looked through each player will write what they think the correct answer along with the evidence of why they think so. Each player is scored for the correct answer and correct reason for why they think so. During the time the players are writing down there answers, no one can talk to each other during that time or the players will lose fifty points. Then after each player have given there answers to the District Attorney, they shall read the correct solution and each player that had a correct solution will get fifty points as well as fifty points for each person with correct reasoning for the solution. Each case should take around fifteen to twenty minutes.
