It was declared a National Cultural Heritage by RDN No. 197/INC on April 2, 2003. Kanichi lies in the Ayacucho Region, Lucanas Province, Carmen Salcedo District.[2][3] The archaeological complex, which is about 200,000 square meters,[4] was influenced by the Wari and Chanka cultures.[4] The complex includes a variety of buildings including Chullpas, religious and ceremonial buildings, service centers, and a water system of wells and springs.[4] Kanichi is open to tourists from 6am to 6pm.[4] References1. ^{{Ref Simi}} see: khamuchiy {{Archaeological sites in Peru}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Kanichi (Peru)}}{{Peru-hist-stub}}{{SouthAm-archaeology-stub}}2. ^El Peruano, Normas Legales, p. 243765, May 8, 2003, Lima 3. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.mincetur.gob.pe/turismo/OTROS/inventario%20turistico/Ficha.asp?cod_Ficha=1267|title=Complejo Arqueológico de Caniche|author= |date= |website= |publisher=mincetur|accessdate=April 2, 2015}} 4. ^1 2 3 {{Cite web|url=https://turismoi.pe/arqueologia/sitio-arqueologico/complejo-arqueologico-de-caniche.htm|title=Complejo Arqueológico de Caniche|website=Turismoi.pe Tu destino es viajar|language=es|access-date=2018-05-02}} 2 : Archaeological sites in Peru|Archaeological sites in Ayacucho Region |
