The Karan Kayastha are a community of Kayastha that inhabit the Mithila and Gaya region of Bihar, India and some adjoining districts of the Terai region of Nepal.the kayastha of mithila region is called maithil karn kayastha and of gaya region is called gayawadi karn kayastha.
