Moreover, none of the specimens found so far have tentacles.[3] It was named after the marine biologist John Keesing, who captured one near Shark Bay in 2013.[2] This and another new species bring the total number of jellyfish known to cause Irukandji syndrome worldwide up to 16, four them coming from Western Australia.[1] References1. ^1 2 {{cite news|title=New toxic jellyfish with no tentacles found in WA|url=http://www.australiangeographic.com.au/news/2014/08/new-jellyfish-species-with-no-tentacles-found-in-wa|accessdate=17 November 2014|website=Australian Geographic|date=8 August 2014}} 2. ^1 {{cite web |url=https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/aug/08/new-jellyfish-discovered-giant-venomous-species-found-off-australia |title=New jellyfish discovered: giant venomous species found off Australia |author= |date=7 August 2014 |website=The Guardian |accessdate=9 August 2014 }} 3. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.newser.com/story/192172/giant-new-jellyfish-has-no-tentacles.html |title=Giant New Jellyfish Has No Tentacles |author=Rob Quinn |date=8 August 2014 |website=Newser |accessdate=9 August 2014 }} External links
