YouthKnight attended the University of Maryland where he played on the men's soccer team from 1995 to 1998.[1] He was a 1998 Third Team All American and holds the Terrapin career assists record with thirty-five.[2][3] ProfessionalOn February 6, 1999, D.C. United drafted Beach in the second round (seventeenth overall) of the 1999 MLS College Draft.[4] Beach did not sign with United, put pursued a career in Europe, joining Clydebank F.C.
