They have appeared in the Santosh Trophy finals 13 times, and have won the trophy 6 times. Kerala is the defending Santhosh Trophy champions. They defeated Bengal in the finals in a penalty shootout (4-2) on 1 April 2018 at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.The score was 2-2 after 120 minutes.
