Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is an NHS trust responsible for the management of Kettering General Hospital and a new outpatient centre in Irthlingborough, East Northamptonshire. HistoryKettering General came under the management of a separate NHS Trust in 1994.[1] It achieved Foundation Trust status in November 2008, which is a fundamental part of the current NHS reform program. The Trust has outpatient clinics in Corby, Wellingborough and Rushden. The trust (including Kettering General) has 600 beds, 17 theaters and employs more than 3,200 staff.[2] David Sissling, former Chief Executive of the NHS in Wales was appointed as the new chief executive of the Trust in January 2014 replacing Lorene Read.[3] In 2014/5 the trust was given a loan of £7.4 million by the Department of Health which is supposed to be paid back in five years.[4] The trust opened a new outpatient centre in Irthlingborough, East Northamptonshire, intended to replace Rushden Memorial Clinic, in February 2011.[5] PerformanceIn 2017 Kettering General created controversy when it was reported that the hospital management had fiddled waiting time data.[6] The Trust commissioned an independent review of its handling errors, which found no evidence of fraud.[7] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.kgh.nhs.uk/about-us/ |title=About Us|publisher=Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust|accessdate=19 August 2018}} 2. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.kgh.nhs.uk/about-us/foundation-trust/ |title=Foundation Trust|publisher=Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust}} 3. ^{{cite news|title=New chief executive appointed at Kettering General Hospital|url=http://www.northantstelegraph.co.uk/news/top-stories/new-chief-executive-appointed-at-kettering-general-hospital-1-5791225|accessdate=26 January 2014|newspaper=Northamtonshire Telegraph|date=26 January 2014}} 4. ^{{cite news|title=11 trusts whose DH bailouts were converted to loans|url=http://www.hsj.co.uk/news/finance/revealed-11-trusts-whose-dh-bailouts-were-converted-to-loans/5090010.article#.ViQZfkpup1A|accessdate=18 October 2015|publisher=Health Service Journal|date=2 September 2015}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-northamptonshire-12379676|title=New £4.2m Irthlingborough outpatients clinic opens|date=7 February 2011|publisher=BBC|accessdate=19 August 2018}} 6. ^{{cite news|last1=Precey|first1=Matt|title=Hospital 'fiddled' waiting time records|url=https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-northamptonshire-40014896|work=BBC News|date=26 May 2017|accessdate=19 August 2018}} 7. ^{{cite news|last1=Burkett|first1=Neil|title=KGH apologises for waiting list handling errors – but report finds no evidence of fraud|url=https://www.briefreport.co.uk/news/kgh-apologises-for-waiting-list-handling-errors-but-report-finds-no-evidence-of-fraud-5107829.html|work=Northamptonshire Telegraph|date=28 June 2017|accessdate=19 August 2018}} 1 : NHS foundation trusts |
