She is a former member of the Indian Parliament and previously represents Srikakulam during 2009 to 2014.[1] She joined YSR Congress Party in 2019. Early lifeKilli Krupa Rani was born in Srikakulam and did her M.B.B.S. at Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatanam, Andhra Pradesh. Killi got married to Shri Rammohan Rao on 12 June 1985 and the couple has two sons, Killi Vikranth and Killi Kranthi Kumar. FamilyDr. Killi Krupa Rani was born to Shri.Kamayya and Smt.Kousalya of srikakulam. Shri kamayya worked as a Divisional Engineer, Telecommunications, visakhapatnam. She is married to Dr.Killi Ram mohan rao, a renowned Gynaecologist&obstertician and Social worker who established the "Dr. Rammohan Rao charitable trust". The couple is blessed with two sons Vikranth and Kranthi kumar. Killi Vikranth graduated in biotechnological engineering and diversified into business administration. He is currently working with Grant Thornton (a Fortune 500 company) as a vice-president, business administration and is married to Dr. Divya sahitya. Killi kranthi kumar is a computer science engineer by profession. CareerDr. Killi Kruparani is a Medical Practitioner by education. As a Convenor, Dr. Rammohan Rao Charitable Trust, for the last 20 years, she has worked towards providing free drinking water supply in rural areas, free medical camps,free deliveries, free cataract operations to the blind, pensions to the aged and needy, encouraging students by conducting talent tests and by giving scholarships.[2] She entered politics and joined the Indian National Congress party, on the eve of completion of Dr. YS Rajashekar reddy's padhayatra. Despite losing the parliament election in 2004, she won in 2009, defeating four-time MP, Yerran Naidu.[3] She was inducted into the 15th Lok Sabha and Manmohan Singh's cabinet as Minister of State, Communications and Information Technology. She was a Member, Committee on Health and Family Welfare; Member, Consultative Committee, Ministry of External Affairs and Member, Central Social Welfare Board. She lost in 2014 to Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu.[4] She quit Indian National Congress and later made an announcement that she would join YSRCP on 28 February 2019.[5] InterestsDr. Killi is an avid reader and takes an interest in music, history, literature and travelling. She also published a book entitled The 100 years saga of Nehru's family.[2] She is a dedicated social worker. This is a controversial statement. She and her family has many police cases against them.
