The Blue Line provides service from Downtown Salt Lake City to downtown Draper. This station is the only TRAX station that will connect with the only bus route that runs between Salt Lake County and Utah County. DescriptionThe station is located at 11796 South 700 East (SR-71)[2] and is easily accessed off that road from either 11400 South or 12300 South (Draper Parkway). Access to the main Park and Ride (situated directly northeast of the passenger platform) is only by way of a short section of 11800 South which is directly north of the station--there is no direct access from 700 East. There is a second, smaller Park and Ride lot southwest of the passenger platform which is located at 667 East Kimballs Lane and is accessed from that road. The bus stops are located between this smaller lot and the passenger platform. The station is located within a residential area of the city, with little commercial development nearby, however, the Skaggs Catholic Center (which includes Juan Diego Catholic High School) is several blocks west. Immediately southwest of the station is the Porter Rockwell Trail. Both of the station's Park and Ride lots are free.{{refn|group="Note"|On 1 July 2013 UTA announced that beginning immediately it was starting a one year pilot program involving most of its TRAX and FrontRunner Park and Ride lots. The purpose of the new program is to make rider connections with the Salt Lake City International Airport more convenient by avoiding the need to park at the airport. The programs allows UTA patrons to park for an "unlimited amount of time" in the designated Park and Ride lots. In addition, UTA will allow free parking in all of its parking garages. Previous UTA policy limited parking to no more than 24 hours, except at its parking garages. As part of the year long pilot program, "UTA will measure parking lot usage and monitor costs, maintenance requirements, impacts to snow removal and security issues before determining if the program will be extended." There are eight Park and Ride lots that are excluded from this test program and the 24-hour time limit will still apply to these lots. Kimballs Lane Station's lots are included in this test program.[4] Notwithstanding permission to park for extended periods in the applicable Park and Ride Lots, updated signage at the stations advises that the UTA Transit Police request that they be notified anytime a car is parked in one of the lots for more than seven days. All of UTA's TRAX and FrontRunner trains and stations, streetcars and streetcar stops, and all fixed route buses are compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act and are therefore accessible to those with disabilities.[6] Signage at the stations, on the passenger platforms, and on the trains clearly indicate accessibility options. Ramps on the passenger platform and assistance from the train operator may be necessary for wheelchair boarding on Blue Line (weekdays only). These ramps are not used on weekends. In accordance with the Utah Clean Air Act and UTA ordinance, "smoking is prohibited on UTA vehicles as well as UTA bus stops, TRAX stations, and FrontRunner stations".[7] Train scheduleOn weekdays the first southbound Blue Line train (which only goes as far as the next station, the Draper Town Center Station) leaves the Kimballs Lane Station at about 4:45 am. The first northbound train (to the Salt Lake Central Station) leaves at about 5:00 am. The last southbound train leaves at 11:31 pm and the last northbound train leaves at 11:43 pm. However, the last train only goes as far as the Fashion Place West Station; the last train to the Salt Lake Central Station leaves at 10:28 pm.{{refn|group="Note"|name=TS|Train schedules are current as of Change Day, 17 August 2014}} On Saturdays the first southbound train leaves at about 6:15 am and the first southbound train leaves at about 6:30.
