The school has approximately 1011 students on roll,[4] with at least 14 countries represented across this number.[5] HistoryThe school was established as a result of an amalgamation[3] of Balderstone Technology College and Springhill High School under the Building Schools for the Future program.[2][6][7] The schools trust, Kingsway Learning Trust Limited was established in May 2010 by partner school Middleton Technology School along with Rochdale Sixth Form College and the Rochdale local authority.
