He was also director of photography for some episodes of television series such as Vegas,{{citation needed|date=October 2015}} Game of Thrones, Sleepy Hollow, and Boardwalk Empire.[1] He is a member of both the famous Morgenthau dynasty and the Lehman banking family. BiographyMorgenthau was born to a Jewish family, the son of Ruth (née Schachter) and Henry Morgenthau III. His father was an author and television producer. His mother was professor of international politics at Brandeis University, an advisor to President Jimmy Carter on rural development in poor countries, and in 1988 ran unsuccessfully as a Democratic candidate for Congress in Rhode Island.[2] His great-great-grandfather was businessman Mayer Lehman. He has one brother, Henry "Ben" Morgenthau (born 1964) and one sister, Sarah Elinor Morgenthau (born 1963).[3] His grandfather was Henry Morgenthau Jr., the U.S. Treasury secretary during the Roosevelt administration. His great-grandfather, Henry Morgenthau, was the ambassador to the Ottoman Empire during World War I; his uncle is Robert M.
