She is a member of the Sweden Democrats, part of the European Conservatives and Reformists.[1] On 25 May 2014, Winberg was elected to the European Parliament during the 2014 European Parliament election in Sweden. CareerWinberg sold advertising for the Jönköpings-Posten newspaper for 8 years, was a travel agent for 15 years, and then became a nursing assistant caring for people with dementia.[2] In 2010 she was a candidate for the Riksdag; she has been a member of the city council in Jönköping Municipality since 2010. Winberg was launched as her party's top candidate to the European Parliament on 27 January 2014.
