At the 2016 Summer Olympics she won a bronze medal in the same category.[3] World ChampionshipsShe won her first World Championships in 2013 by a margin of 13 kg over second place. At the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships she won a bronze medal in the total along with the clean and jerk. In 2017 at the next World Championships she won he second World Championships with another dominating performance, out lifting second place by 15 kg.[4] In 2018 the International Weightlifting Federation reorganized the categories, and at the 2018 World Weightlifting Championships she defended her title as World Champion, this being the third World Championships she has won. This time she competed in the 59 kg category and she set four senior world records in the competition.[5] Asian GamesBefore the 2014 Asian Games she suffered an injury to her leg,[6] and later that year donated an ambulance to Taitung hospital.[7][8] She went on to place fourth at the competition in the 58 kg category. She was the flag bearer for Taiwan at the 2018 Asian Games[9] and went on the win gold in the 58 kg category. UniversiadeKuo won gold at the 2017 Summer Universiade and set a world record of 142 kg for the clean and jerk in her final lift.[10] Following her performance at the Universiade, Kuo was awarded the Order of Brilliant Star.[11] After her record setting performance at the 2017 Summer Universiade she chose to donate her winnings back to her community.[12] Major results
