Lakeside is part of the Lakeside Joint School District. HistoryLakeside elementary School was founded in 1882 as a one-room school with only one teacher for the logging community around the Lexington/Los Gatos area of the Santa Cruz Mountains. It stayed as such until the mid-1950s.
