}}Doli Armaano Ki, (International title: Lies of the Heart), was an Indian television drama series.[1][2] which premiered on 2 December 2013,[3][4] and ran until 25 September 2015.[5] It aired on ZEE TV Monday through Friday.[6]

The series has been revoiced in English, and aired on ZEE World on DSTv channel 166, and revoiced in Tamil as Kalyana Kanavugal ({{Literal translation|Marriage Dreams}}) and will air on Polimer TV.

Plot

It is the story of Urmi (Neha Marda/Manasi Salvi), a young girl who gets married to Samrat (Mohit Malik), an arrogant, male chauvinist, and abusive husband. As the story progresses, Urmi and Samrat have a child, Shaurya. Moving further Urmi walks out of her marriage due to Samrat's infidelity, and ends up as a successful independent woman. Later, Ishaan (Siddharth Arora/Vibhav Roy), who has been Urmi's friend, confidant, and lawyer, falls in love with her and they get married. But Samrat comes back to take revenge on Urmi. In the process, Ishaan is killed while saving Samrat and later Samrat ends his own life due to guilt.

After 15 years

Shaurya (Kunal Karan Kapoor) is an upright and honest reporter who runs a news agency. He is devoted to his mother Urmi, unlike his half-sister who blames Urmi for having lost her share of a father's love. Diya (Neha Sargam) works with Shaurya in the same agency. On a work assignment, Diya is raped. Hereon begins the journey of Urmi, Shaurya, and Diya.

Over the years Urmi, with her courage, integrity, and determination to fight for the right has become one of the most iconic characters on Zee TV. With this leap, Urmi passes the baton she has been carrying to Shaurya. The story henceforth focuses on Shaurya and Diya and how Shaurya helps Diya stand up for herself, fights for her, supports her, and eventually falls in love with her. Diya on her part fights for her rights, lives her life with her head held high and also eventually falls in love with Shaurya.
