3 Idiots is an Indian coming of age comedy-drama. The film was co-written, edited and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and had story, screenplay and dialogue by Abhijat Joshi. It was loosely adapted from novel Five Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat. The film stars Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi , Kareena Kapoor, Omi Vaidya, Parikshit Sahni and Boman Irani.

It also become a highest film of the Year as well as highest grossing Bollywood films of all time.

It was given Verdict All Time Blockbuster by Box Office.

This is a list of awards and nominations received by 3 Idiots. The film won 57 awards. Among these are five Filmfare Awards including Best Film and Best Director, three National Film Awards including Best Popular Film, ten Star Screen Awards, and sixteen IIFA awards. It also received a Japan Academy Prize nomination and won the Grand Prize at Japan's Videoyasan Awards.
