He first gained popularity after the release of his debut EP, A Backpacker Named R.O.E..[1] In 2011, his single "I Won"[2] was featured on many hip hop blogs and independent radio stations. R.O.E. later shot a video for the single.[3] The video earned R.O.E. a feature on mtvU. His latest single, "The Sun Will Shine",[4] was released in the midst of 2013, setting up the winter release of his second EP, To Happiness. Since the release of, To Happiness, R.O.E. has toured around the U.S. with his band, The Soulvillians. He has released several projects including, Live From Chicago, Long Way From Home, An Intimate Evening With, and Better Late Than Never. The Chicago native now resides in Brooklyn, where he's recording his debut album. Discography
