{{Short description|American judge}}

Samuel Crawford (April 20, 1820 – February 28, 1861) was an American jurist from Wisconsin.

Born in Ballybay, Ireland, Crawford moved to New York City in 1840. In 1841, Crawford moved to Galena, Illinois, where his brothers lived; he studied law and was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1844. He then moved to New Diggings, Wisconsin in 1844 and in December that year to Mineral Point, Wisconsin to practice law.[1] He served on the Wisconsin Supreme Court from 1853 to 1855. He was defeated for reelection in 1855 and resumed his law practice in Mineral Point. He ran for Wisconsin Attorney General and for a Congressional seat, but was defeated.[2]

Crawford died of "congestion of the brain" (an ischemic stroke) at his home in Mineral Point on February 28, 1861.[1][3]
