HistorySpring Creek Academy was founded by Karen Morrell in 1996 as an outgrowth of Tutorial Service of Plano. Tutorial Service of Plano was founded by Karen Morrell in 1989 and continues to offer after school tutoring in all subjects. Several Spring Creek Academy teachers supplement their income by working as after school tutors serving students from all schools.
