It is located in the Løvstakksiden neighborhood in the borough of Årstad in the city of Bergen. The church is part of the Løvstakksiden parish in the Bergen arch-deanery in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, stone, art deco church was built in 1939 by the architects Sverre Losnedahl and Nicolay Brøndmo.
