The U-Sea Colonsay is a bulk cargo carrier owned by Canpotex of Canada, primarily used for the transport of potash between Canada and destinations in Asia. The ship made its maiden voyage on October 2011 from Japan to Vancouver; it is named after the Colonsay Potash Mine in Province of Saskatchewan, where some of the potash it carries originates.[1] This ship is one of nine vessels to be built for a joint venture operated by U-SEA and Canpotex.[2] The vessel was built by Imabari Shipbuilding [3] References1. ^{{cite news|url = http://www.bivinteractive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=5002:north-van-to-see-new-jobs-from-potash-trade&catid=14:daily-news&Itemid=46 |title = North Van to see new jobs from potash trade|work = Business Today|date =9 November 2011 |accessdate = 2011-11-10}} 2. ^Arrives in Vancouver for Maiden voyage {{Webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20111009172622/http://www.portmetrovancouver.com/Libraries/PROJECTS_Recreational_Waterfront_Facilities_Management_Plan/November_eNewsletter_final_1.sflb.ashx |date=9 October 2011 }} 3. ^{{cite news |url = http://www.istockanalyst.com/business/news/5496910/u-sea-colonsay-sets-sail |title = U-SEA COLONSAY Sets Sail |work = iStockAnalyist |date = 24 October 2011 |accessdate = 2011-11-10 |deadurl = yes |archiveurl = https://web.archive.org/web/20160304191542/http://www.istockanalyst.com/business/news/5496910/u-sea-colonsay-sets-sail |archivedate = 4 March 2016 |df = dmy-all}} 4 : 2011 ships|Cargo ships|Active merchant ships|Merchant ships of Panama |
