The village is located along the Romsdalsfjorden about {{convert|20|km}} west of the town of Åndalsnes. The European route E136 highway goes through Voll, connecting it to the village of Vågstranda [{{convert|10|km}} to the north] and the village of Innfjorden [{{convert|10|km}} to the southeast]. The {{convert|0.71|km2|acre|adj=on}} village has a population (2013) of 494, which gives the village a population density of {{convert|696|PD/km2}}.[2] Måndalen was the administrative centre of the former municipality of Voll from 1874 until 1964. Voll Church is located in this village, and it serves the people of western Rauma.
