Plot

Ultraman Leo comes from Nebula L77 (Leo constellation), and takes the human form of Gen Ohtori. Ultraseven appears to fight a new foe, Alien Magma and his two "pets", the Red and Black Gillas. Ultimately, Ultraseven is greatly overpowered and his leg is graphically broken by Black Gillas. Ultraman Leo drives off the foes, but Ultraseven is confined to his human form because of his injuries and due to the Ultraeye being damaged when he attempted to transform. Dan then maintains his role as Captain of MAC (Monster Attack Crew). Gen is a gymnastics teacher on the side and joins MAC to defend the Earth. Gen and Dan regularly train together, allowing Ultraman Leo to learn many moves in human form. In episode 34, Dan asks Ultraman Jack to take the Ultraeye back to M78 to be restored while he heals on Earth. However, in Episode 40 MAC is destroyed by Silver Bloom, a Flying Saucer Life Form that belongs to Commander Black. During the attack Dan asks Leo to keep defending the Earth and disappears in the conflagration. It is later shown that he was taken back to M78 to be fully healed and restored as Ultraseven. Gen is now unemployed and spends most of his time training the kids to defend themselves as well as defending the Earth as Ultraman Leo. Commander Black and Alien Bunyo captures Gen when he cannot transform completely. Gen as Leo is then dismembered, only to be brought back to life by Ultraman King. Leo would face Black's final monster, Black End, with the kids he trained, the latter of whom kill Black, and hand the sphere used to control Black End to Leo. Finishing his mission, Gen removes his Leo Ring and sets off to tour Earth, his "second home".

Astra

Astra (アストラ Asutora) is the younger brother of Ultraman Leo. He came to earth after learning that Leo had survived the destruction of their home planet Nebula L-77 and appeared several times in the series, assisting him several times when the odds were stacked against Leo. [3]

Astra came from the desert Nebula L77 of the Leo constellation. After the destruction of L77 by the Alien Magma, Leo, Astra, and Leo's pet monster Ron were the last survivors, but Leo thought he was the last of his kind. As Leo and Ron landed on Earth, Astra was captured and held prisoner by the Alien Magma until he was eventually rescued by Ultraman King. After Ultraman King told him of Leo's survival, Astra headed for Earth and rescued his brother during a battle against Gallon and Liter. Ever since Astra has saved Leo against several different aliens over the months that were too powerful for Leo to defeat himself. At one point Alien Babalou froze Astra in a special type of ice in space and took his identity as he stole the Ultra Key. After Ultraman King revealed Babalou for what he was, Leo saved Astra from his icy imprisonment, defeated Babalou, gave back the Ultra Key, and the two brothers became the first Ultra Brothers that were born outside of Nebula M78. Astra continued to help Leo after helping him destroy the Flying-Saucer Life Form, Hanglar.

Even though Astra is the least active of the Ultra Brothers in the new series Ultraman Mebius, he is present during the series finale, assisting his brother Leo using the Ultra Double Flasher in destroying the coating that was surrounding the sun.

Later on, Astra appeared in the film Ultra Galaxy Legend The Movie, watching over Ultraman Zero's training with Ultraman Leo. When Seven's eye slugger was sent as an S.O.S., Ultraman King sent Zero to the battle, followed shortly by Leo and Astra. When they arrived, Zero had already defeated Belial and blasted him into a river of molten magma. However no sooner had they arrived, when the spirits of 100 monsters started to flow towards Belial and formed Beryudora. Leo and Astra then did their combo attack while everyone else attacked Beryudora on their own until Zero finished him off. Astra and Leo then returned to the Land of Light with the others. Astra also reappeared in the movie The Revenge of Belial.

Prior to the Ultraman Ginga series, Astra participated in the Dark Spark War but this time he fought not only alongside with the Ultra Brothers but, with the other Ultras that came from other universes and their allies against Evil. While in midst of battle, Dark Lugiel turned every Ultra alongside their allies, monsters, and aliens into Spark Dolls. With the war over an unknown warrior appeared and faced Dark Lugiel but like the others he also turned into a Spark Doll. The location of Astra's doll is unknown, but could be with Leo's Spark Doll, which is also unknown. Astra returned to his original form along with all the Ultras after Ginga defeated Dark Lugiel.

He also appeared in Ultra Fight Victory. After Ultraman King sensed the awakening of the Space Emperor, he calls on Ultraman Hikari, Ultraman Ace and the Leo brothers. Leo and Astra were sent to Planet Gua on the orders of King, to stop the revival of Juda. However, Yapool sent his Chohjuh Battalions, Verokron, Doragorie and Vakishim to take care of them. While Leo and Astra were busy dealing with the Chohjuh, Yapool arrived and the brothers watched as the super dimensional being used the Victorium he stole from the core to amp up Juda's revival. Right after that, Ace, along with Ginga and Victory appeared to help Leo and Astra take down Yapool and his Chohjuh Battalion. Astra defeated Doragory with his Astra Kick while Leo defeated Vakishim with his Leo Kick, Ace defeated Verokron with his Ultra Guillotine, and Ginga Victory defeated Yapool with his Ultra Fusion Shoot. However, after Yapool exploded, the negative energies inside of him went to Juda's distorian and fully revived him and summoned Super Grand King Spectre. Afterwards, Astra, along with the other Ultras tried to destroy Grand King with little to no success until Victory decided to take care of Juda himself while the rest deal with the robot before it destroys the planet. Later, as Victory turned the power of the Victorium Core against Juda, the energies from the Core went into Super Grand King Spector, weakening him and Astra helped defeat the robot by combining his and Leo's Ultra Double Shoot with Ace's Metallium Ray and Ginga's Ginga Cross Shoot.

In Ultraman Geed, Astra took part in the battle against Ultraman Belial with the rest of the Space Garrison, but like the others was ultimately unable to stop Belial from initiating "Crisis Impact". Although it seemed like the entire universe was going to be destroyed, Ultraman King merged his lifeforce with that of the universe to repair the damage and revive all life within it. Astra's whereabouts remain unknown after Crisis Impact, as no Ultras were known to have visited the Earth since the event, prior to Geed's human form, Riku Asakura, learning of his true self.

MAC (Monster Attacking Crew)

MAC is the official name of " M Onster A Ttacking C Rew".

With its MAC space station, which is its headquarters base over major cities in the America, Europe, Africa and Asia (Japan of course), the mission is to ensure the safety of spacecraft navigation and detect and fight off monsters and aliens as soon as possible. There are bases serving as bases of MAC Tokyo Branch etc. in major areas on the ground (Episode 34), but the main base is just a space station. The regular unit under the command of Captain Dan appears in the role only at the MAC Asian headquarters and is called the Space Patrol Team.

Because of the composition of the series, it is easy to see that there are fewer opportunities for achievement compared to conventional defense teams, and there are many squashers in addition to many replacements of members. However, all the members up to episode 39 were general members of MAC, and in the elite space patrol team, no particular casualties appeared, as did the successive defense teams. In the 40th episode, the Asian headquarters was destroyed by the Silver Bloom's raid and MAC Asian headquarters members other than Gen and Dan were killed.

Before the formation, the predecessor organization Earth Defense Force seemed to be active, and in the 16th episode Dan talked about the fact that a member who tracked Alien Atlar became like a wax doll and died it was. Also, in the 25th episode, an organization called the Earth Defense Committee appeared but details are unknown.

The development that the defense team headquarters to which the main character belongs itself was preying on the monster and disappears is an exceptional event in the series, and in the other lever insertion plan that "Ultraman Leo fight the Flying Saucer Life Forms", MAC is supposed to be destroyed had been. MAC has a strong image that it is annihilated because it is annihilated in the subtitle of episode 40, but in fact it is not annihilated that only the Asian headquarters has been destroyed, but the fact is that the Asian headquarters has been destroyed. Lost over. [8][9]

  • {{nihongo|Captain Dan Moroboshi|モロボシ・ダン|Moroboshi Dan}} (Played by Kohji Moritsugu)
{{main article|Ultraseven (character)}} Dan Moroboshi returned in this 1974 series as the captain of MAC and a supporting protagonist to the series. Originally, Dan fought as Seven when the second era of Earth invasions begins, as he went against Alien Magma and his Gillas Monsters, Red and Black Gillas. However the two monsters were enough to defeat Seven, with his leg twisted and his Ultra Eye broken, Alien Magma was about to execute Seven, until the timely arrival of Ultraman Leo. Ultraman Leo was a prince from Nebula L-77 and, like Seven, he is also an Ultra-being, living on Earth disguised as a human named Gen Ohtori. Originally, Leo's main goal was to defeat the Alien Magma as a revenge for destroying his homeworld in Nebula L-77. Dan confronted him on his desire for vengeance and provide him a training course which allowed Leo to defeat the Gillas Brothers, though Alien Magma was able escape. Gen was enlisted into MAC and received further training from Dan whenever he found himself unable to defeat the monster-of-the-week. During Gen's fight as Leo, Dan can still supported him using the Ultra Will Power ability, a power from Seven. His twisted right leg injury from Black Gillas was inherited to his human form, which prompted him to use a Lofstrand crutch with hidden smokescreen and rifle. In episode 26, he faced a dilemma when he comes across a woman with resemblance to Annie (Dan's former love interest), who is in fact Ulinga's caretaker. In episode 34, he received a Monster Ball named Sevengar from Hideki Goh/Ultraman Jack, whom proceed to reclaim the broken Ultra Eye and return it to the Land of Light to be fixed. Jack also assisted Leo in fighting against Ashuran, an alien that followed him on Earth. Dan's final appearance was in episode 40, which was also the episode that debuted the Flying Saucer Life Forms led by Commander Black. Silver Bloom, the first Flying Saucer Life Form, destroyed MAC headquarters in order to remove all means of resistances against Commander Black's invasion, simultaneously killing all MAC members, even those whom tried to escape. Dan parted ways with Gen and vanished, leaving Gen to escape from the destroyed base as Leo. In the finale episode, a fully healed Seven contacted Gen in his dream and offered him a place in the Land of Light following the conclusion of his fight with Black End, the final Flying Saucer Life Form he faced. The 4 Ultra Brother realized that Alien Bat was behind the monster's disappearance. They tracked Alien Bat to the alternate universe where Ultraman Zero, Dyna and Cosmos were battling Alien Bat's forces. Before the climatic battle against Hyper Zetton, the evil Alien Bat unleashed 5 other monsters: Antlar, Pandon, Tyrant, Black King and Velokron, each more powerful than before. The Ultra Brothers: Ultraman, Seven, Jack, Ace and Leo transformed into their Ultra forms in the Land of Light and flew to the alternate Earth to help Ultraman Zero. Ultraman Leo fought against Tyrant, who after giving him powerful damage, Leo used his signature move, the Leo Kick, and kicked Tyrant, killing him and destroying him in the process. Leo's whereabouts remain unknown after Crisis Impact, as no Ultras were known to have visited the Earth since the event, prior to Geed's human form, Riku Asakura, learning of his true self. Following the Crisis Impact, Leo's power became a Little Star that inhabited Eri Hara before it transferred into Geed. This event allowed the creation of Leo Capsule (レオカプセル Reo Kapuseru) in Riku's arsenal.
