Laois entered the championship as defending champions, however, they were defeated by Kerry in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 26 September 2004, Tyrone won the championship following a 0-12 to 0-10 defeat of Kerry in the All-Ireland final. This was their sixth All-Ireland title overall and their first title in three championship seasons.[1] ResultsAll-Ireland Minor Football ChampionshipFinal{{footballbox collapsible| date = 26 September 2004 | round = Final | time = | team1 = Tyrone | score = 0-12 - 0-10 | team2 = Kerry | report = | goals1 = | goals2 = | attendance = | stadium = Croke Park, Dublin | referee = | stack = yes }} References1. ^{{cite news|url=https://www.rte.ie/sport/gaa/2008/0928/238817-minor_foot_roh/|title=All-Ireland Minor Football Championship: Roll Of Honour|publisher=RTÉ Sport|accessdate=20 September 2011|date=19 November 2012|first=|last=}} {{All-Ireland Minor Football Championship}} 2 : All-Ireland Minor Football Championships|2004 in Gaelic football |
