He has previously competed at middleweight[3] as well. Mixed martial arts careerCella was a contestant on the 17th season of The Ultimate Fighter as a member of Team Jones. To make it onto the show, Cella defeated Jake Heun by first round armbar. Cella was later eliminated from the show via a spinning kick to the head in a match with Uriah Hall.[4] Cella's first professional fight following his stint on the show took place in the UFC against fellow TUF 17 contestant Tor Troéng. Troéng defeated Cella by rear naked choke in the first round of their bout. Cella was subsequently released from the promotion following the loss. After three fights in Shamrock FC in 2013 and 2014, Cella fought Danny Davis Jr. at Shields vs. Foster in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 17, 2015. He lost the three round fight via unanimous decision. Cella fought Kyle Kurtz at Bellator 138 and lost via submission due to armbar. Cella faced Chel-Erwin Davis at Bellator 145 in his third fight of 2015 and lost via TKO.[5] Mixed martial arts record{{MMArecordbox| draws= | nc= | ko-wins= 5 | ko-losses= 2 | sub-wins= 4 | sub-losses= 4 | dec-wins= | dec-losses= 2 | dq-wins= | dq-losses= 1 | other-wins= | other-losses= }}{{MMA record start}} |- | {{no2}}Loss | align=center| 9-9 | James Bochnovic | Submission (rear-naked choke) | Shamrock FC - Shamrock 309 | {{dts|2018|September|7}} | align=center| 1 | align=center| 4:38 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States | |- | {{yes2}}Win | align=center| 9-8 | DeWayne Diggs | TKO (punches) | Bellator 197 | {{dts|2018|April|13}} | align=center| 1 | align=center| 4:27 | St. Charles, Missouri, United States | |- | {{yes2}}Win | align=center| 8-8 | Coltin Cole | Submission (guillotine choke) | Shamrock FC 301 | {{dts|2018|Jan|20}} | align=center| 1 | align=center| 1:54 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States | |- | {{yes2}}Win | align=center| 7-8 | Eddie Larrea | TKO (punches) | Shamrock FC 300 | {{dts|2017|Dec|01}} | align=center| 1 | align=center| 3:30 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States | |- | {{no2}}Loss | align=center| 6-8 | Darrius Flowers | Decision (split) | True Revelation MMA 32 | {{dts|2017|May|06}} | align=center| 3 | align=center| 5:00 | Ottumwa, Iowa, United States | |- | {{no2}}Loss | align=center| 6-7 | Coltin Cole | DQ (punches to back of head) | Shamrock FC 286 | {{dts|2017|March|24}} | align=center| 1 | align=center| 0:28 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States | {{small|Middleweight bout}} |- | {{no2}}Loss | align=center| 6-6 | Kyle Kurtz | Submission (armbar) | Shamrock FC: Explosion | {{dts|2016|June|03}} | align=center| 1 | align=center| 1:07 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States | |- | {{no2}}Loss | align=center| 6-5 | Chel Erwin-Davis | TKO (punches) | Bellator 145 | {{dts|2015|November|06}} | align=center| 3 | align=center| 0:35 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States | |- | {{no2}}Loss | align=center| 6-4 | Kyle Kurtz | Submission (armbar) | Bellator 138 | {{dts|2015|June|19}} | align=center| 2 | align=center| 4:13 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States | |- | {{no2}}Loss | align=center| 6-3 | Danny Davis Jr. | Decision (unanimous) | WSOF 17 | {{dts|2015|January|17}} | align=center| 3 | align=center| 5:00 | Las Vegas, Nevada, United States | |- | {{yes2}}Win | align=center| 6-2 | Anthony Lemon | Submission (guillotine choke) | Shamrock FC: Shockwave | {{dts|2014|October|18}} | align=center| 1 | align=center| 1:20 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States | |- | {{no2}}Loss | align=center| 5-2 | Lucas Gwaltney | TKO (punches) | Shamrock FC: Victory | {{dts|2014|March|07}} | align=center| 3 | align=center| 4:47 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States | |- | {{yes2}}Win | align=center| 5-1 | Justin DeMoney | KO (punch) | Shamrock FC: Uprising | {{dts|2013|June|15}} | align=center| 1 | align=center| 2:27 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States | {{small|Welterweight debut}} |- | {{no2}}Loss | align=center| 4-1 | Tor Troéng | Submission (rear-naked choke) | Mousasi vs. Latifi | {{dts|2013|April|06}} | align=center| 1 | align=center| 3:11 | Stockholm, Sweden | |- | {{yes2}}Win | align=center| 4-0 | Dominic Brown | TKO (punches) | Shamrock FC: Fight Night | {{dts|2012|June|01}} | align=center| 1 | align=center| 3:17 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States | |- | {{yes2}}Win | align=center| 3-0 | Chance Moore | Submission (guillotine choke) | MUCF: Missouri Rumble | {{dts|2012|April|07}} | align=center| 1 | align=center| 1:15 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States | |- | {{yes2}}Win | align=center| 2-0 | David Colter | KO (punch) | Shamrock FC: Fight Night | {{dts|2012|January|28}} | align=center| 1 | align=center| 0:44 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States | |- | {{yes2}}Win | align=center| 1-0 | Willie Rose | Submission (D'Arce choke) | Fight Night Promotions: Boxing at the Orpheum | {{dts|2011|September|16}} | align=center| 1 | align=center| 0:23 | St. Louis, Missouri, United States |{{end}} Mixed martial arts exhibition record{{MMA exhibition record box| draws= | nc= | ko-wins= | ko-losses= 1 | sub-wins= 1 | sub-losses= | dec-wins= | dec-losses= | dq-wins= | dq-losses= | other-wins= | other-losses= }}{{MMA record start}} |- | {{no2}}Loss | align=center| 1–1 | Uriah Hall | KO (spinning hook kick) | Team Jones vs. Team Sonnen | {{dts|2013|February|5}} (airdate) | align=center| 1 | align=center| 4:50 | Las Vegas, Nevada, United States | {{small|TUF 17 Preliminary round; Knockout of the Season}} |- | {{yes2}}Win | align=center| 1–0 | Jake Heun | Submission (armbar) | Team Jones vs. Team Sonnen | {{dts|2013|January|22}} (airdate) | align=center| 1 | align=center| 1:22 | Las Vegas, Nevada, United States | {{small|TUF 17 Elimination round}}{{end}} See also{{portal|MMA}}
