Club CareerBrighton & Hove AlbionBarclay played regularly for Brighton U23's and made a number of appearances for the Sussex club in the Premier League 2 league in the last few seasons. The former Manchester City youth player was included in Chris Hughton's 25 man squad for the 2018-19 Premier League season.[3] He made his debut for Brighton on 28 August 2018, in the EFL Cup at home against Southampton where he played the full match in a 1-0 loss against their south coast rivals.[4] Loan to Notts CountyOn 4 January 2019, Barclay joined Notts County on loan until the end of the season.[5] Barclay made his Notts County debut a day after joining the club in a League Two fixture away against Essex club Colchester United where it eventually finished 3-3 in what also happened to be his first ever league match.[6] Career statistics{{Updated|match played 9 March 2019}}
