Cardamyle or Kardamyle ({{lang-grc|Καρδαμύλη}}) was a town of ancient Greece on the island of Chios, mentioned by Thucydides as the place where the Athenians landed to attack the people of Chios.[1] The country round the town was fertile and well-adapted to the cultivation of the vine. Its site is tentatively located near modern Marmaron.[2][3] References1. ^{{Cite Thucydides|8.24}} {{DGRG|title=Chios}}{{coord|38.547087|N|26.105594|E|display=title|format=dms|source:http://dare.ht.lu.se/places/29059}}{{AncientGreece-stub}}{{Greece-geo-stub}}2. ^{{Cite Barrington|56}} 3. ^{{Cite DARE|29059}} 3 : Populated places in the ancient Aegean islands|Former populated places in Greece|Ancient Chios |
