}}Dagudumuthala Dampathyam is a 1990 Telugu, comedy film, produced by Bogavalli Prasad on Sri Vijaya Prasanna Pictures banner and directed by Relangi Narasimha Rao. Starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Rajendra Prasad, Sharada, Vani Viswanath, Ramya Krishna in the lead roles and music composed by M. M. Keeravani.[2] The film recorded as Super Hit at the box office.[3]

Plot

Raja Shekaram (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) & Lalitha (Sharada) an ideal couple, they lead 15 years of happy married life. Once they know regarding their intimate insider Gopalam (Gummadi) is worried about his only daughter Rekha's (Vani Viswanath) marriage. Rekha is a modern woman, raised up by her paternal uncle Major Narasimham (Satyanarayana) at Hyderabad. In his rearing, she became a men hater and against towards marriage. At Present, Raja Shekaram & Lalitha make a plan, reach Hyderabad as unmarried people, to act as lovers before Rekha by which she can understand the greatness of love. Lalitha settles in Narasimham's house as Gopalam friend's daughter and Raja Shekaram takes a house for rent as a neighbor owned by Seetamma (Nirmalamma). In that process, Raja Shekaram meets a Rikshawala Kishtaiah (Rajendra Prasad) who every day takes Rekha to college, he senses that Kishtaiah loves Rekha a lot. Now the couple starts their task and succeeds in making Kishtaiah & Rekha loving each other. After that, suddenly, one day, a beautiful girl Radha (Ramya Krishna) arrives as Raja Shekaram's wife with all proofs. Raja Shekaram tries to prove her as false in all means but fails. Even Lalitha suspects him when misunderstandings & disputes arise between them. Parallelly, Radha tries to come nearer to Raja Shekaram but he throws her away when she goes into mental shock. So, Raja Shekaram makes a plan, acts as if he is loving and takes her away. Knowing this Lalitha reveal the truth but no one believes her, thinks that she became mad out of depression. Meanwhile, Raja Shekaram makes Radha normal and surprisingly he comes to know that she is Kistaiah's sister. Raja Shekaram returns to Hyderabad along with Gopalam there he questions Kishtaiah for his deed then he reveals the past. Radha has left the house marrying a man called Raja Shekaram (again Akkineni Nageswara Rao) who looks alike this Raja Shekaram without Kishtaiah's knowledge. Unfortunately, Radha's husband died in an accident and Radha condition is very sensitive, that's why he played this drama to save his sister. On the other side, Lalitha leaves the house to commit suicide but they protect her and brings out the reality. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriage of Kishtaiah & Rekha.
