Adam Robert Kesselhaut is an American born singer, songwriter, producer, and author currently living in Berlin, Germany. He has written songs for renowned artists. Focusing on songwriting and vocal-producing he worked together with artists such as Seeed[1], Peter Fox, Elaiza[2], Andreas Kümmert[3], Nick Howard, The White Dukes, KsFreakWhatElse, Faye Montana, Q.Age[4], Seo In Guk[5], and Quarter[6]. Kesselhaut also invests his invests time and effort developing new talent.

Musical Theater Writing

His musical, “Dies a Dream of You...“ was a nominated finalist for the Richard Rogers' Award[7] presented by the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Songwriting

Kesselhaut continues working closely with producers and songwriters like Candy de Rouge (Falco, Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, Jennifer Rush)[8], Martin Waschkowitsch (Parcels, Graham Candy, Los Pitutos) and Montana Beats (Fler, Sido, Boundzound). He has worked with Malcolm Toft (David Bowie, The Beatles, Queen), Jens Gad (Enigma), and Jeff Blue (Linkin Park, Macy Gray, Korn).

Classical/Operatic Background

Kesselhaut studied composition at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusettes and at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusettes. He began is training as an lyric tenor in Florence Italy with Maestro Giuseppe Baratti and continued in Boston with David Krauser. He completed his studies in Germany with Eugen Rabine, the father of funktionale Stimmpädagogik und funktionales Stimmtraining.

Kesselhaut has made appearances as a Tenor soloist in various concerts, opera festivals, and theaters as well as in Philharmonic Rock[9]. He as also had a stint in the Vienna State Opera (Wiener Staatsoper)[10]. [11]

Lectures

Adam continues to lecture in various schools and universities including the Hochschule der Populäre Künste Berlin (College of Popular Arts ) and Akademie Deutsche Pop.

Edition Mesanic Publishing

His music publishing company together with Taner Kalak, Martin Waschkowitsch, and Paul Horschel, Edition Mesanic Publishing, is a joint venture with BMG Rights Management.[12]

Recent Work

In 2014 Kesselhaut's song "Is it Right"[13] which he wrote together with Elaiza[14] was chosen as Germany's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen.[15][16] The song was part of the Gold certified album "Gallery".[17]

Currently, Kesselhaut is a founding partner together with Taner Kalak and Martin Waschkowitsch as well as the managing director of Schwerkraft Musik UG[18] and Mesanic Management UG, a subsidiary of Mesanic GmbH.
