Alice Vera Hart is a photographer and sculptor currently working and attending college in South Carolina. She began her education in New York City at Germain School of Photography. Alice Vera Photography, a small business she started in 1994, is still in operation today. Her photography focuses on fine art, portraits and weddings. Continuing her education at North Country Community College, she graduated with an Associates Degree in Computer Graphics and Design in 2012. While studying at North Country Community College, she became interested in wire and paper sculpture. The wire acts as the ‘bones’ and the paper acts as the ‘skin’. She particularly favors sculpting birds. She left her New York photography studio to help her aging parents stay in their home and moved to Myrtle Beach in 2016. She began attending Coastal Carolina University in early 2017 and will graduate in 2019 with a Bachelors in Art Studio and minor in Art History. After graduating, Alice plans to continue her photography business and look for a job in the non-profit or museum field. Early Life Alice grew up spending her summers in the mountains and lakes of the Adirondack Park in New York. Her father photographed as a hobby and instilled a love of the outdoors and an interest in photography. The family camp had no electricity or running water and was accessed by water only.
