Cafe Atlantique, was a franco-caribbean fusion restaurant that operated in Caracas, Venezuela from 2001 until its closure in 2011. Located in an iconic building on the eastern neighborhood of Los Palos Grandes in Caracas, the restaurant ranked among the best in the city for several years in a row^[1]. With a Mid-Century Modern decor, and a revolutionary display kitchen, Chef Laurent Cantineaux (Daniel, NY) gave Caraqueños a taste of dress-down refinement of traditional French Cuisine with a Creole twist.

The Restaurant hosted several renowned International Chef including: Claude Troisgros, Paco Roncero, Andrés Madrigal, Thomas Buckley (NOBU Miami), Arnaud Pitrois (Le Clos des Gourmets), Laurent Tourondel (BLT-Bistro Laurent Tourondel), among others. And was awarded the Venezuelan Academy of Garstronomy Arts Tenedor de Oro (Golden Fork) in two occasions in recognition to its contribution to Venezuelan gastronomy and dining experience.

The restaurant became an enclave to Business Moguls and Bankers who flocked during the popular lunch menu for a decontracté albeit haute cuisine experience.^[2] During several years the restaurant, that offered a lounge space with a peculiar collection of Mid-Century Modern Chairs, became a hotspot bar with resident and invited DJs that entertained patrons well into the late hours every Thursday and Friday evenings.

Following several disagreements with their landlord and growing economic difficulties in the country, the owners were forced to close the restaurant in July, 2011. A group of previous partners spun-off to St. Barths (Bonito) and Miami (Juvia^[3]).
