"Come, Follow Me - For Individuals and Families: Living, Learning, and Teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ" is a manual of religious instruction developed, published, and disseminated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.[1] This manual focuses on the New Testament with quotations in English from the King James Version of the Bible. It is organized by weeks of the year 2019, starting with December 31-January 6 and ending with December 23-29. In President Russel M. Nelson's Opening Remarks for the 188th Semi-Annual General Conference, he announced, "a new balance and connection between gospel instruction in the home and in the Church."[2] Elder Quentin L. Cook announced in his talk Deep and Lasting Conversion to Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ[3] that Sunday Meeting Schedule would be reduced from three hours to two hours. "This Sunday schedule allows more time for a home evening and to study the gospel at home on Sunday or at other times as individuals and families may choose. A family activity night could be held on Monday or at other times. To this end, leaders should continue to keep Monday evenings free from Church meetings and activities. However, time spent in home evening, gospel study, and activities for individuals and families may be scheduled according to their individual circumstances."[3] This is the first major departure the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has had from its word-wide promotion of Family Home Evening since its original inception in 1915. All other auxiliary organizations (Primary, Young Women, Young Men, Sunday School, Relief Society, and Elders Quorum) of the Church currently follow similar teaching methodology of the same name. The manual is 215 pages in English and printed in color. Nearly every page of the manual contains either photographs or religious artwork.
