Education

Diva Tommei studied Genomic Biotechnology at La Sapienza University in Rome and holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Cambridge. She attended Singularity University as GSP in 2010.^[2]

Career

Diva Tommei founded Solenica: a hi-tech startup in the field of solar energy. The goal of Caia, the special lighting system developed by Solenica, is to bring the natural light into homes and offices.^[1] Solenica has raised over $1.1million, the majority coming from crowdfunding.^[3]

She's also one of the three Italian entrepreneurs to be selected for the Huawei marketing campaign #IAmWhatIDo around the release of their artificial intelligence powered smartphone.^[2]

In 2017, she has given her first TEDx talk in Rome.^[4]
