Emanuel Tollefsen-Minos (born 11 June 1925 in Luvungi[1] in Belgian Congo, now DR Congo, died November 15, 2014 in Oslo[2]) was a Norwegian theologian and preacher in the Norwegian pentecostal movement. Life and workHis father was Greek, his mother of Egyptian origin. He was adopted by the Norwegian missionary family of Gunnerius Tollefsen in 1930 and came to Norway as one of the first adoptive children from a country outside the Nordic region. Minos began to preach in Dals Ed in Sweden at the age of five.[3] When he was seven, he had read the whole Bible. Minos studied archeology and theology at Regents Park College in Oxford from 1958.[4][5][6] Later he graduated from Clarksville School of Theology in Tennessee, USA with a degree in theology.[7] Throughout his life he was an active minister in the pentecostal movement. He worked particularly in Norway and Sweden and has therefore been referred to as the "Billy Graham of the North".[8] PropheciesMinos believed in prophetic visions and messages. They were often the subject of his sermons. He also claimed to have received several prophecies himself.[9] His perhaps best-known prophecy was given to him by an elderly woman from Valdres when he visited the town on a preaching assignment.[10][11] Minos is also known for his prophecy about iron that returns in the form of warships and destroys the city of Narvik. He claimed this prophecy was given to him as a young boy, probably in 1937. AchievementsMinos was awarded by the Swedish king in 1995 for his Christian, cultural and social involvement in Sweden.[12][13] BibliographyThe following works are all written in Norwegian. By Minos
