Hideez makes hardware and software products and services for last mile identity and authentication management ^[1] ^[2]. Hideez was part of Mach 37, a Virginia-based accelerator for cybersecurity product companies ^[3]. History

Hideez was founded in August 2015 in Kyiv, Ukraine by Oleg Naumenko, Andrey Konkov and Denis Zaliznyak. The idea for the Hideez came to Oleg Naumenko after a cyberattack on his bank account. He was the victim of identity theft and £1,000 was stolen from his account. Oleg created Hideez’s first product, Hideez Key, to secure online accounts and remember strong passwords ^[5].

Products

Hideez is the manufacturer of the Hideez Key; Hideez Band; Hideez Wallet, a cold cryptocurrency wallet; and Hideez Enterprise Server, a business solution that manages credentials on Hideez Keys, federates associated endpoints, and stores digital identity information ^[6].

Hideez Key

Hideez Key is a compact, portable device with multiple digital & physical security access functions:

Password manager for application and website user account credentials, physically separated from the main device
Lock or unlock a PC, tablet or smartphone based on proximity
Generate a one-time-password (OTP) for two-factor authentication on websites and online banking ^[7]
Hideez Key can open RFID-enabled electronic doors and works via Bluetooth connection ^[8]. Hideez Key requires use of a companion software application, Hideez Safe, which works on Microsoft Windows, macOS, iOS and Android ^[9].
Hideez Key underwent a penetration test at Troopers 18, an IT security conference in Heidelberg, Germany, where 15 hackers did not find a vulnerability in 48 hours ^[10].

Hideez Band

Hideez Band is the next generation of the Hideez Key. It will have more memory than Hideez Key ^[11] and will be available in several water-resistant form factors - keychain fob, wristband, pendant or clip ^[12]. Hideez Band is not yet available for sale.
