She started making music on her own when she was 15, and released her first song called "Cigarette". Her music combines indie, pop, and alternative, while her lyrics are pure metaphors. On 2016 she joined the Mitrovica Rock School, a project which was founded in 2008 as an alternative to the more traditional methods of peacebuilding being implemented in the area. The central idea behind the project, founded by INGO Musicians without Borders and local NGO Community Building Mitrovica, is that music is a tool that brings people together and creates a sense of shared identity, irrespective of ethnic heritage or language spoken. She formed a band called "Proximity Mine" a mix of young men and women from across both sides of the notorious bridge that crosses the River Ibër/Ibar, Kosovo Albanian, Kosovo Serb and Kosovo Bosniak. Together they cross all musical and social borders and give a voice to the young people of southeast Europe.Their music is rock music, with the kind of angst typical of some genres of Balkan music. Proximity Mine has won over audiences at Mitrovica Rock School concerts in Macedonia, Kosovo, and Vienna where they recorded a music video for their song "Set me free". Ilda recorded three songs with the band, "Sorry mom", "MWAH!" and "Set me free" Besides music and her love for art, she is a student of architecture at the University of Prishtina.
