Joshua Martall Gribble (born August 28, 1998), better known by his stage name Jay Alexander, Is an American actor, director, screenwriter, and founder of Street Films Productions LLC. Best known for the portrayal of Jake in Jake & Jack (2019) and Tyrese in Dream Heights.

Early Life

Alexander was born Joshua Gribble in Detroit, Michigan on August 28, 1998. Attended Detroit public schools and then later moved to Atlanta, only to be forced back to Michigan by a poverty stricken environment. Growing Jay suffered through neglect and was even subject to bullying through some of his high school years. But fought back when it counted the most. Overtime he began to struggle with trying to cope with his anger issues and adolescence which he would later learn would cripple his adult life and nearly landed him in jail and was almost sent to mental rehabilitation center. Jay was expelled from public school due to repeated instances of fighting and anger outbursts. Jay always had an extreme love for movies and grew up around them. "I grew up around movies, there was movies pretty much everywhere I went," Jay Alexander, 2019. .

The Come-Up

After years of abuse, financial troubles, and life changing experiences, at age 16 Jay discovered his passion was in film. He set out by creating short films for Youtube for a period of two years. Shortly after, Jay met a director by the name of Theodore Bonner. Jay played the role of Tyrese in Bonner's film Dream Heights. A deal was made between the two and thus production on Jake & Jack, was in effect.
