The Journal of Natural Resources and Development (JNRD) is a not-for-profit scientific environmental journal related to natural resources management and the analysis of socio-ecological systems.

JNRD is an open access journal, free of charge and peer-reviewed, which is dedicated to the publication of scientific research papers that address environmental challenges, review papers, data sets, infographics and posters.[1] JNRD is administrated at Technical University of Cologne (TH Köln).

JNRD was founded in 2011 by the Centers of Natural Resources and Development (CNRD ),[2] an international university network, established through the Institute of Technology and Resource Management in the Tropics and Subtropics (ITT) at Technical University of Cologne (TH Köln).
