Junior is a 2017 short film directed by Pearl Gluck which deals with issues of media ethics on reporting racially motivated violence.^[1]

Plot

A mother struggles to find a new normal after her son is shot by an off-duty police officer.^[2]

Production

Junior was originally a one-woman play written and acted in by Elle Jae Stewart. Gluck saw this play and suggested adapting it into a short film shot using one continuous take. There was a significant amount of participation in the production of the film from Penn State alumni and students.^[1]
