Headquarters

Reliable Controls headquarters is located in Victoria, British Columbia, in the township of View Royal. The facility is over 40,000-square-foot space. According to Canada Green Building Council, the building achieves a 54% reduction in energy consumption compared to conventional buildings of the same size and was given LEED Platinum certification.[7]

St. Lawrence College Partnership

On May 8, 2018, a 10 year partnership was announced between Reliable Controls and St. Lawrence College providing $200,000 worth of industry standard equipment. The goal was to provide students access to equipment and industry knowledge in the energy system management field. The partnership also ensures during the 10-year partnership, lab equipment will be updated by Reliable Controls as the industry evolves, especially in the realm of BACnet devices. REL Controls -an Ottawa-based Reliable Controls Authorized Dealer- will provide job placement opportunities to graduating students..[8][9][6]

International BACnet Chairs

Reliable Controls's Firmware Manager, Michael Osborne was the appointed BACnet Chair in 2018. This appointment directly influences the future of BACnet protocols across the globe and future international standards.[10]

Previously, Reliable Controls President and Founder, Roland Laird, was BACnet chair.[11][12] [13]
