Staffan Salén (born July 5th 1967) is a Swedish businessman. Life and careerStaffan Salén is the son of Sven Hampus Salén and lawyer Eva Salén (born Lauritzen). He is the grandson of ship-owner Sven Salén. Since 2003 Salén has been the CEO of Salénia AB, a group of companies that he runs and owns together with his brother Erik Salén. He is also the chairman of the board of real estate company AB Sagax which he co-founded, as well as chairman of the board of consultant broker Ework Group AB, and of the freight airline Amapola Flyg AB which he also co-founded.[1] [2] Salén is also a board member of Green Landscaping AB and Strand Kapitalförvaltning. [3] [4] Between 1998-2003 Salén worked at Föreningssparbanken, of which the last three years as Vice President and Communications Director. Prior to that he worked in various roles at Finanstidningen including as editorial manager.[5] Community involvementSalén has been on the board of Stockholm University 2001-2010 including as vice chairman. He also sat on the board of the leading Swedish think tank SNS - Studieförbundet Näringsliv and Samhälle -2009-2017 including as vice chairman. Since 2018 he has been Vice Chairman of the SNS Board of trustees. Between 2011-2018 Salén was the chairman of KSSS, the Royal Swedish Yacht Club.[6] [7] DistinctionsSalén has received Stockholm University's gold medal.
