It was described by Adamski and Brown in 2001. It is found in Venezuela.[1] The length of the forewings is 5.9 mm. The forewing colour consists of brown and dark-brown scales intermixed with mostly pale brownish-orange scales from the base to the apical end of the discal cell. There is a single brown discal spot near the apical end of the discal cell and the marginal scales are dark brown. The hindwings are pale brown, the area posterior to the cubitus with elongate scales. EtymologyThe species name refers to the pointed apical area of the costa of the valva and is derived from Latin acuminatus (meaning pointed).[2] References1. ^funet{{dead link|date=January 2017 |bot=InternetArchiveBot |fix-attempted=yes }} {{Taxonbar|from=Q21267075}}{{glyphidocerinae-stub}}2. ^[https://archive.org/stream/proceedingsofent1032001ento#page/972/mode/1up Proc.
