She is known for appearing in the reality shows 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On. She also co-authored a book with her sisters Jill Michelle Dillard, Jessa Lauren Seewald, and Jinger Duggar Vuolo titled Growing Up Duggar: It's All About Relationships.^[2]

Early life

Duggar was born in Tontitown, Arkansas as the first Duggar daughter^[3] and a twin to John-David Duggar.^[4] She was homeschooled as a child.

Career

Television

Jana Duggar started her career on the documentary of her family, 14 Children and Pregnant Again (2004). This talked about their daily lives at that point in time. Another documentary Raising 16 Children was also aired on the Discovery Health Channel. Finally, another film was made about their cross-country road trip titled On The Road With 16 Children.

On September 29, 2008, 19 Kids and Counting (formerly known as 17 Kids And Counting, 18 Kids And Counting). After the show was cancelled, the show Counting On replaced it and picked up where the last had left off.

Books

Jana co-wrote a book with her sisters Jill, Jessa, and Jinger. The book, titled Growing Up Duggar: It's All About Relationships focused on life in the Duggar home, their social relationships, and religious beliefs.
