Her initial claim to fame was that the Pat Benatar hit "Heartbreaker" was written for her. Known for her huge bluesy rock voice on such tracks as "Ladykiller" and the Buk single classic "Slay me like a lady". Darren has released eleven albums to date plus she has been featured on various other albums and compilations. Although never having a hit record, her style is unique, being one of the few female Classic Rock vocalists in the world. BiographyDarren has been singing since the age of 12. She grew up socializing with Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant and Jimmy Page as well as ELO frontman Jeff Lynne. She also worked with drummer Nicko McBrain, before he joined Iron Maiden.[1] Heavily influenced by local rhythm and blues players, she went on to obtain a deal with the Transatlantic Records label in her teenage years. Eventually in her early twenties, Jenny burst onto the rock scene supporting AC/DC on a six-week U.K. tour.[2][3] . During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Jenny revealed how she missed out on her big chance with the hit song Heartbreaker. Her record company released it on an album Queen Of Fools in 1978. But as they were also a publishing house, in 1979 the song was given to rising star Pat Benatar who recorded it and made it a huge international hit.[4][5] DiscographyJenny released her own album Queen of Fools in 1978, including the song Heartbreaker. Until present, she went on to record ten albums. Her last but one album, a collection of covers titled Jenny Darren & The Lady Killers, was released in 2017 and features two versions of “Heartbreaker.”.[1] In February 2019 Jenny released an album in collaboration with guitarist Robin George entitled "SavageSongS".[6] Britain's Got TalentJenny took part in the 12th season of Britain's Got Talent TV Show at the age of 68.
