Munger Railway Station is now the main rail head for Munger city after Jamalpur Junction . Munger is part of the Malda Division of the Eastern Railway Zone of the Indian Railway. Munger is connected to metropolitan areas of India, Delhi-Kolkata Sahibganj Loop via Kiul - Rampurhat route and Barauni - Katihar line through recently opened Rail cum Road Munger Ganga Bridge.Munger has also a get a new line for bhagalpur through daulatpur colony jamalpur without going to JMP called Jamalpur Y-Leg.
